By taxi from the railway station
Taxi stands are located at
the eastern (Bahnhofsplatz) as well as at the western (Bahnhofsallee)
exits of the railway station. The latter is most convenient if you arrive
by the rapid ICE (Inter City Express) train.
Tell
the taxi driver to go to Weende, Universitaet-Nord, Tammannstrasse 6. The
taxi fare is around 8 EUR.

(German). On workdays during business hours buses circulate every 30 minutes at least.
Tickets can be bought from the driver in the bus. One-way fare is 1.90 EUR,
a set of 4 tickets ("Viererkarte") costs 6.20 EUR (discount of 18 %), a
24-hour-ticket ("Tageskarte") costs 4.40 EUR, and a 7-days-ticket ("Wochenkarte") costs 13.60 Eur (as of November, 2010).

From the railway station
Leave the railway station
to the east (Bahnhofsplatz, Berliner Strasse). The bus terminal (ZOB,
Zentraler Omnibus Bahnhof) is located at the southern (right hand) side of
Bahnhofsplatz.
Take
line no. 12, direction Holtensen, or no. 8, direction Weende-Ost, to bus stop
Goldschmidtstraße. Walk 50 m back (south, Robert-Koch-Strasse) then 150 m
left (east, Goldschmidtstraße) then another 150 m left (north,
Tammannstrasse). (see local map)
From the city center
Departure is favorable from bus stop Kornmarkt some 80 m south of Altes
Rathaus (old city hall), Markt. Take
line no. 8, direction Weende-Ost, to bus stop Goldschmidtstrasse (see
previous section). Or take line no. 5, direction Nikolausberg, to bus stop
Tammannstrasse. Walk 150 m north along Tammannstrasse. (see

By car
Leave
the Autobahn (motorway) A7 (E45) at the Dreieck (junction) Goettingen-Nord.
Continue 4 km on the short Autobahn A388 to its end in Goettingen-Weende at
the crossing with Hannoversche Strasse (traffic lights). Continue straight
on Bundesstrasse B27 (An der Lutter) 600 m, just 50 m before a bridge
(Robert-Koch-Strasse) crosses the road. Turn right, then left, following
the signs to Universitaet-Nord or Polizei (police). Continue on
Robert-Koch-Strasse 350 m north, turn right (east) into Goldschmidtstrasse,
after 150 m turn left (north) into Tammannstrasse and continue for another
150 m. (see
