My duties in our research
group are varied. Because, as a Chemical-Technical-Assistant (CTA), I am
not bound to one scope of duties, I work with a variety of experimental
methods.
At the moment, my sphere of work contains experiments to the
determination of propagation and termination rate coefficients of radical
homo- and copolymerisations in a wide field of pressure, temperature and
conversion. The experiments also include Excimer-Laser supported and
chemically initiated tests as well as experiments in supercritical CO2 and
up to high pressures (ca. 2800 bar) and also clouding point curves of
monomer-polymer-CO2-systems. My results are used in various doctoral and
diploma thesises and publications. Together with my colleague Heike Rohmann
I am responsible for chemicals and working materials which are used in our
group for research work. My further duties are attending and supporting
our guests and trainees.
